Look Out For The Faster Horse
Mustang Fans this is a movie not to be missed - As we first reported earlier this year, “A Faster Horse” is a documentary that follows the designers, engineers and board room executives through the entire planning, redesign and development of the sixth-generation S550 Mustang. David Gelb is a graduate from the USC's film school and is known for a film about Sushi - Yes Sushi - Don't ask;
Well now he has turned to his film making skills to capture the much loved and long-standing American muscle car: the Mustang, the crown jewel of the Ford fleet. "A Faster Horse" goes behind the scenes at Ford Motor to show the demanding process behind the creation of the 2015 Mustang. The redesign of the brand had a lot riding on it, both in terms of the jobs at stake and the reaction of fans to any tweaking of the iconic ride. Filmed mostly in 2014, "A Faster Horse" was born from conversations between Alessandro Uzielli, the head of Ford Motor's Global Entertainment Brand, and producers Nigel Sinclair and Glen Zipper on a cinematic way to mark Mustang's 50th birthday.
The new Mustang as we all know spurred a sales boom for Ford and got great reviews from the automotive press, infact it was named the Detroit Free Press Car of the Year.
This project was funded by Ford Motor Company who actually agreed not to have any direct creative input into how the documentry movie was made - It looks like a very well made docu-film and we are all looking forward to seeing it - How about you ?
Update: Release Date on this is set for October 8th according to IMDB
