Most enthusiasts know that the easiest way to make a significant improvement in your V8 powered 2010-2015 Camaro’s sound and power output is to bypass the restrictive factory catalytic converters. This significantly improves exhaust flow, adding more power and some additional growl to the exhaust note. Rather than hacking up the factory downpipes, you can simply remove them and bolt the BBK Camaro Cat Deletes in place. That way you have the ability to go back to stock at any time.
BBK Camaro Off Road Pipes make real, documented gains. BBK’s dyno testing showed as much as a 20 horsepower gain at the wheels. That’s a very noticeable gain that you’ll actually be able to feel. Since the exhaust is less choked up, throttle response is improved. Also this increase in exhaust flow will give your exhaust system a more aggressive, racy tone.
One of the greatest things about the BBK Camaro SS Off Road Pipes (sometimes referred to as Camaro Test Pipes) is the simple installation. It’s a truly direct fit install that can be done in well under an hour with basic hand tools. Unlike most modern muscle cars, there’s plenty of room in the Camaro engine bay (particularly around the exhaust), so it’s a pretty easy area to work in. Installation is as simple as putting the car on jack stands (or a lift if you’ve got one), removing the oxygen sensors and factory cats. From there you simply install the BBK cat deletes in their place in the reverse order. That’s it!
These Camaro off road pipes are made from top quality components for long lasting durability. They are made from heavy-gauge aluminized steel to ensure a long service life. Heavy duty reusable gaskets and all required hardware is included. The CNC high flow mandrel-bent tubing, heavy duty flanges and factory style hangers make for an easy installation.

Tuning is an important consideration any time you bypass the catalytic converter on modern cars, including the Camaro SS. To prevent a check engine light, as well as to optimize all that extra airflow, you’re going to want a custom tune. Because of ever-tightening EPA restrictions many of the handheld tuners that used to allow you to disable the rear O2s no longer work that way. So the only way to be certain you won’t have check engine lights is to have the car custom tuned. These days that’s a common practice and you can probably find a tuner in just about any town in America. It’s really not a downside because if you’re to the point of making major mods, and this would count as major, you really should get a custom tune anyway.
It’s important to note that Camaro cat deletes are for off road use only, meaning they are not legal for street use and are intended for racing applications only. Their simple bolt-on design makes it easy to swap back and forth for track days, autocrossing, etc.
