Ford Racing used this years 2011 PRI show in Orlando Florida to announce a number of new releases for the true blue race enthusiasts - we have already shown you the all new ford racing 2013 Cobra Jet and now its time to show you the all new 2013 Ford Racing Boss 302SX (concept) , this isn’t your normal BOSS 302S, it’s Ford Racing’s brand new 302SX concept that uses the new Cobra Jet’s naturally aspirated 5-liter with the revised version of the BOSS’ intake manifold, that has been rumored to make an additional 25 hp over the conventional BOSS manifold. The intake comes with larger runners that are port matched to the intake ports as well as custom camshafts to harness the new manifold’s additional airflow. Outside of the intake manifold though, the BOSS 302SX features a bunch of go-fast road race performance upgrades. Starting with the color - the all new "school bus yellow" is the perfect color to be spotted on the racetrack along with unique badging, Inside Ford Racing have installed a 6-point FIA roll cage, and a Recaro HANS Pro Racer seat and 6 point harness along with a quick release steering wheel. An onboard fire suppression system is standard as well as a data logging and recording system.
The handling is further enhanced with a fully adjustable Dynamic Suspension front and rear coilover suspension. Included with the suspension upgrades are stiffer front and rear sway bars, castor/camber plates, and tubular lower control arms. The braking system gets a major overhaul with four piston Brembo calipers up front, with two piece 14-inch rotors. The rear rotors are upgraded to 12-inch two piece versions along with Performance Friction race brake pads, stainless brake lines, brake ducting and revised brake booster all helping to keep the braking experience more consistent throughout the race. For aero, a functional front splitter keeps the front end from lifting under high speed runs, while the adjustable rear carbon fiber spoiler can be tuned for maximum down force during any race. Ford Racing 18×9.5 wheels are shod with pirelli race compound tires on all four corners.
