Most enthusiasts know that Shelby offers a Super Snake version of the current Mustang, making an astonishing 750 horsepower from its supercharged engine. Now they’re making waves in the industry again by showing off their new widebody version. It’s currently only a prototype, but they’ve done such a good job keeping the iconic S550 Mustang body lines just right that we hope this model makes it to actual production.
While the wide body Mustang Super Snake appears the same at first glance, once you look closer it’s hard to miss the wider fenders housing huge, steam-roller sized 12.5” wide rear wheels with 11” wide wheels in front. That should help cornering grip as well as putting down all the horsepower. Not only that, but the added grip will enhance the braking performance from this car’s huge 16” 6-piston front and 14” rear brakes.
Also making waves in the industry is the announcement of a Super Snake F-150 Shelby. Better yet, this is no prototype; it’s going to be a real production truck. Besides the usual Shelby visual cues, this truck will feature a supercharged 750 horsepower V8 under the hood, just like the Super Snake Mustang.
You’re going to have to shell out a load of cash to get one of these trucks though, as they sticker for nearly $97,000. Surprisingly this truck will be available in 2 or 4-wheel drive, but there will only be 150 of them sold in total, so put your order in now.
