Hundreds of Ford Mustangs will cross ten states on a journey through the American Southwest as well as the Deep South, with various tours and events planned in local cities. Each day is planned with scheduled beginning points, lunch stops, optional tours, and organized hotel group rates.
Nashville 002“It’s as much a celebration of America itself as it is for the Ford Mustang”, says event coordinator Sam Haymart. “The drive is a chance for enthusiasts from around the globe from different walks of life to all get behind the wheel together and see this land from behind the same chrome pony”.
The event has taken place in concert with the five year anniversaries of the Mustang since 1994, and this year Mustangs Across America celebrates 20 years. “The drive has become a tradition on the big anniversaries, helping Mustangers get from far away to the big show. The 50th is going to be very special”.
For 2014, Mustangs Across America has coordinated with a film crew who plans to traveling along and document the event for a full length presentation as well as potential airing on television at a future date. Daily video blogs and spot stories are planned as well.
The party gets started the night before the drive begins in Corona, CA at Saleen Headquarters for a big kick-off bash with the Saleen Owners & Enthusiasts Club. Then on Thursday, April 10th the Mustang herd heads out east for Charlotte and a lifetime of memories.
