BBK Performance has been named title sponsor of the legacy street car shootout category at the NMRA Spring Break Shootout 2022. It is a class that bears the name of the event and is comprised of the 16 quickest cars from the final rankings in the TorqStorm Superchargers True Street class. The NMRA Spring Break Shootout is the longest running Mustang event that attracts racers from across the country and Canada.
The NMRA Spring Break Shootout is the first event on the 2022 NMRA Ford Nationals schedule and this year several 7-second cars will be getting in on the street car action. Defending champion Donato Sierchio is returning with his twin turbocharged Fox Mustang coupe and he will be in good company. Fellow New Jersey resident Mike Jovanis is back in action with a new DiSomma Racing Engines 423ci Windsor engine and looking to add a 12th True Street title to his collection and his first Spring Break Shootout win. Canada’s Ted Roshan is making a return to NMRA after missing the last few years due to the pandemic with his 7-second 2003 Mustang Mach 1. Local hot shoe and longtime True Street racer Larry Albright is aiming to improve on his 2021 runner-up finish with his turbocharged Fox Mustang hatchback.
In addition to the NMRA heads-up and index drag racing, the event hosts Spring Break Shootout for the QA1 True Street cars, the new SunCoast Performance 8.60 Street Race category, massive UPR Products Show & Shine, and a Manufacturer's Midway.
The NMRA Spring Break Shootout takes place at Bradenton Motorsports Park March 3-6, 2022.
