1200 Horsepower 2015 Mustang Powered By Vortech
Vortech are always looking for something special to show off their products at the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (formerly known as Speed Equipment Manufacturers Association until 1970) better known to most as the SEMA show held every year in Las Vegas Nevada. This year is now exception and Vortech have really out done themselves this time with a very orange 2015 Ford Mustang GT, but the real special treat is under the hood of course. Vortech's star of the show car will feature will be the V-3 Si self-lubricated supercharger which will be mated to the 5.0-liter V8 engine. In stock form, Ford's new 5.0 Coyote engine will produce 435-hp and 400 lb-ft of torque at the flywheel, but in its mildest form the Vortech V-3 Si supercharger will turn that up to 640-hp and 485 lb-ft of torque, with a boost pressure of a mere 7.5 to 8.5 psi. As with many other Vortech superchargers, the V-3 Si supercharger incorporates its own oil reservoir, and a massive air-to-air intercooler for greater power. The exterior is finished in Competition Orange and will feature a 3D Carbon front lip spoiler, 20-inch Forgestar wheels, a full coil over suspension system, a huge Baer brake system, and a stainless steel high flow Magnaflow exhaust system.
Vortech say that upgrading the supercharger and other modifications like an 8 rib pulley, a fuel pump booster and a competition air inlet assembly this car with put down 1000-1200 horsepower! Now that’s real pony power.
